What better way to introduce children to cross stitch than by giving them a fun and engaging kit of their very own! Sparkle the Unicorn features lots of lovely bright colours and is stitched on large 8 count aida- perfect for young stitchers. The kit contains almost everything they need, but it may be easier for them if they also have access to an embroidery hoop and they will also need to use a scissors to trim their thread ends (under supervision, of course!)

Please note: For their own safety, we strongly advise that children are always supervised when stitching. This kit is not suitable for children under the age of 3 due to small parts, long threads, and a sharp needle.

What size needle should I buy?

Although needle size is really quite a personal preference, the general recommendation is that you choose a size 24 needle for 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave/linen, a size 26 needle for 16ct aida or 32ct evenweave/linen and a size 28 needle for 18ct aida or 36ct evenweave/linen. 

What size piece of fabric should I buy?
