Nurge quality hanging display hoops, made from hard beech wood ~ Fine sanded and hand polished for a super smooth natural wood finish. These are continuous hoops with no join or adjustment screw to spoil the look of the needlework design. The metal hanging hook has a dark antique bronze finish for a contrasting look. The gap between the hoops is big enough to allow for thicker fabric, a stabilizer, or hoop binding.

The hoops are 8mm in depth and we currently stock them in 4 diameters:

  • No 1: 100mm (3.9")
  • No 2: 130mm (5.1")
  • No 3: 160mm (6.3")
  • No 4: 190mm (7.5")

Please note: these hoops are designed for displaying your work. If you want a hoop to hold your fabric whilst you are working on it, you might be better choosing a hoop with an adjustable screw fastening.

What size needle should I buy?

Although needle size is really quite a personal preference, the general recommendation is that you choose a size 24 needle for 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave/linen, a size 26 needle for 16ct aida or 32ct evenweave/linen and a size 28 needle for 18ct aida or 36ct evenweave/linen.
