Having teamed up with The British Museum, DMC bring William Morris' Strawberry Thief to life in an entirely new way, allowing you to stitch a portion of the artwork into a beautiful bookmark. The kit comes presented in a gift box and contains the following:

  • Mouliné thread made from 100% cotton in different colours
  • 1 x Aida 6kr/cm (16 count) embroidery fabric measuring 15 x 30cm, made from 100% cotton
  • 1 x embroidery needle
  • 1 x backing card
  • 1 x work description in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Dutch

What size needle should I buy?

Although needle size is really quite a personal preference, the general recommendation is that you choose a size 24 needle for 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave/linen, a size 26 needle for 16ct aida or 32ct evenweave/linen and a size 28 needle for 18ct aida or 36ct evenweave/linen.
