Tulip needles are superior-quality needles made in Hiroshima, Japan, which has a longstanding history in producing these needles (300 years). Tulip’s assortment features quilt basting needles, embroidery needles, tapestry needles, sashiko needles, leather needles, millinery chenille needles and more! These cross stitch needles are ideal for various types of cross stitch embroidery, but can also be used as a tapestry needle for weaving in yarn ends in crochet or knitting projects. The needles have a blunt tip and are available in different sizes:

  • 0.89mm wide and 42mm long (no. 22)
  • 0.89mm wide and 39.5mm long (no. 23)
  • 0.76mm wide and 36mm long (no. 24)
  • 0.64mm wide and 35mm long (no. 25)

The needles are supplied in a glass tube with a cork cap, which is packed in a cardboard box. Each pack contains 6 needles

What size needle should I buy?

Although needle size is really quite a personal preference, the general recommendation is that you choose a size 24 needle for 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave/linen, a size 26 needle for 16ct aida or 32ct evenweave/linen and a size 28 needle for 18ct aida or 36ct evenweave/linen.
