Crafted from twice-mercerised long-staple cotton which gives the most beautiful sheen, it is no wonder that DMC embroidery thread remains a favourite with stitchers around the world. Six easily divisible strands allow for great versatility in your project as you can vary the thickness of your working thread and even combine colours, should you wish. This thread/floss comes in skeins 8 metres in length.

What size needle should I buy?

Although needle size is really quite a personal preference, the general recommendation is that you choose a size 24 needle for 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave/linen, a size 26 needle for 16ct aida or 32ct evenweave/linen and a size 28 needle for 18ct aida or 36ct evenweave/linen.
